Jonathan Mastellari

Jonathan Mastellari

Bolognese by birth, but perhaps it is better to say ‘son of the via Emilia' since I am also half Modenese with a typical Ferrara surname. I would like to emphasise this aspect of myself because I fully recognise myself in the passion that the people of my land put into doing the things they like best. I believe I also put this aspect into my work and activism, mainly related to rights and against discrimination towards LGBTIQ_conpiu_ people. Since 2006, in fact, I have been collaborating with various associations to raise awareness on these issues among students, companies, institutions and legal, social and health workers by introducing them to the concert of intersectionality.
Over time, these paths also lead me towards the world of ceremonies, deciding to train as a celebrant. Both because of an interest in this new profession in Italy, which I have encountered many times abroad, and because at an associative level I have several times supported in the organisation and realisation of people who, both for weddings and civil unions, but also for funerals, had no intention of following a classic religious ceremony, as is still very common in our culture.
By choice I decided to perform all kinds of ceremonies. I have no problem travelling to other regions of Italy and also abroad. I celebrate in Italian, English, French and Spanish. I also have an intermediate level of Dutch, Russian and Esperanto.
